session 1 reflection

The kids would really like to be entertained, not in a demeaning manner for the teacher of course. Rather, the teacher would package the lesson in a way that would generate interest in the subject and make them want to learn sort of way. Also, pupils would want to be talked nicely to in a polite manner rather than being talked down upon or even being ordered around. I feel that a compromise has to be reached for this. The rapport between teacher and students as well as classroom routines have to be properly established before we can reach this stage.
If the above could be properly done, then we can do more than just teaching, for example we can hold class parties after the examinations as requested by the pupils.
The pupils would also like to see the classroom decorated according to their liking such as having the walls painted with their favorite colours and I personally feel that this is a reasonable request as being more relaxed in class would enable the pupils to learn more according to research. [quote] Of course, both pupils and teacher would not like to see vandalism in the classroom and it would be good if such cases are reported immediately on the spot so that the culprit can be apprenhanded.
